New Top 10 List: Top Ten Book Romances That I Think Would Make It In The Real World

Check out my Top Ten Book Romances That I Think Would Make It In The Real World on my blog Writer Girl in LA! It's an internet meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish and I try to participate every Tuesday!

Here's a sneak peak at three of my picks! Ready? Set! Go!

1. Heather Wells and Cooper from Size 12 Isn't Fat by Meg Cabot - I just think they make a cute couple and although I haven't read Size 12 and Ready to Rock yet and don't know how their romance proceeds, I'm rooting for them! I think they're good for each other.

2. Katniss Everdeen and Peeta from The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins - After what they went through, I'd think they'd totally stay together. Besides, they've already been through their worst of times and made it because of each other.

3. Meg and Calvin from A Wrinkle In Time by Madeleine L'Engle - Besides the fact that they are together in the book series and have kids, I think that they would honestly make it as a couple. They go through such a huge, magical adventure together in A Wrinkle In Time that I think it would bind them together.

New Top 10 List: Top Ten Books For People Who Like Author Meg Cabot!

It's top 10 list time again...since it is Tuesday!

Check out my Top Ten Books For People Who Like Author Meg Cabot on my blog Writer Girl in LA! It's an internet meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish and I try to participate every Tuesday!

Here's a sneak peak at my top 3.....

1. Sophie Kinsella books - Sophie Kinsella rocks! She's so funny! Her Shopaholic series is still
my favorite, but I read everything she writes and I always enjoy it! I always listen to Becky's inner monologue and go - yup, I totally think like that! I NEED that scarf! It goes with everything!

2. Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich - Okay, I haven't read these yet, but my cousin assures me they are laugh out loud funny. I'm hoping they remind me of a grittier version of The Heather Wells Mysteries. They're on my list for the simple reason that I am hoping for a Meg Cabot like book read, just maybe a little more adult in nature.

3. The Sisterhood of The Traveling Pants by Anne Brashares - It's not quite the same because they're about a group of girls, but these books roped me in, in the same way that Meg Cabot books do. So, it's on my list.

New Top 10 List: Top Ten Characters Who Remind Me Of Myself Or Someone I Know

It's a top 10 kind of day! I heart books!

Check out my Top Ten Characters Who Remind Me Of Myself Or Someone I Know  on my blog Writer Girl in LA! It's an internet meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish and I try to participate every Tuesday!

Here's a sneak peak at my top 3.....

1. Anne Shirley from Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maude Montgomery: Anne reminds me a little of me...in that she loves books and loves to read and she's a writer! We have a lot of differences of course too - I don't have red hair, nobody has ever called me carrots, and I do not talk a lot. I swear.

2. Mia Thermopolis from The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot: I sooooo think like Mia and feel awkward (especially around cute boys when I was in high school!)! That's why I love those books so much now! Mia's a version of me...except I haven't been made a princess...yet.

3. Meg Murry from A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle: Yup, another self conscious high school student...just like I was! What I loved about Meg, though, when I first read this book is that she had the little brother I always wanted in Charles Wallace. A little wish fulfillment on my part!

2. The Host by Stephanie Meyer - It's been on my list forever and sounds like a good summer read!

3. The Immortal Rules by Julie Kagawa - I started reading it, but I want to finish it up. I like vampires! I'd also love to read her Iron Fey series. So, yeah this is really 3 and 3.5 on the list, I guess!
