For those of you that have only read my Funeral Crashing books, here's what The Doppelgangers series is about:

DOPPELGANGER

Citrus Leahy is having a really bad day. First she's late to school. Then she runs into the girl who drives her nuts because she always calls her Orange instead of her name. To cap it all off, when Citrus finally makes it to class, she sees herself already inside. Wait. What? Citrus Leahy has a doppelganger! It's probably aliens taking over the world and her life has just turned totally upside down. Goodbye, normal. Hello, paranormal! Luckily, her crush Aedan has the exact same problem!

DOPPELGANGER 2: On the Run (Spoiler alert for those of you who haven't read book #1)

The doppelgangers are coming!

Citrus Leahy is on the run from doppelgangers! Now she and a group of teenagers whose lives have also been taken over have to figure out how to stay hidden. The doppelgangers could be anywhere or anyone. Her crush Aedan makes her feel safe except that he keeps reminding her of the guy she left behind...his doppelganger! Citrus also can't forget that the doppelgangers have her mother, but she has no idea how to save her when their group is barely saving themselves. It seems like the doppelgangers are always hot on their trail and there's danger around every corner, maybe even from within.

Doppelganger 2: On the Run release week continues! Today's topic: movie cast ideas! And while you're here, make sure to enter the GIVEAWAY below to win a FREE ebook copy of Doppelganger 1 & 2!

Before I go on with the blog, just a reminder: Doppelganger 2: On the Run is only $0.99 cents for the pre-sale. If you're going to get it, buy it now! Here are the links:

Apple Itunes Ibooks
Barnes & Noble Nook Books
Smashwords (all ebook formats!)
Amazon Kindle Ebooks: the book will be up by June 27th, 2014 and it will be available for 99 cents for TWO DAYS - Friday June 27th and Saturday June 28th since I'm unable to do an official pre-order with Amazon, so if you want the book put the date in your calendar or set an alert to remind you!

MOVIE CAST IDEAS:
Thinking about a movie cast for my books is always fun. Here are some of my ideas for an IDEAL Doppelganger series movie cast:

CITRUS LEAHY (and Doppel-Citrus):

Elle Fanning

I thought Elle Fanning might be a fun choice for Citrus. Other ideas I had were Maddie Hasson (from ABC Family's Twisted) and Chloe Grace Mortez (Dark Shadows), who I actually chose for a different character in the end.

AEDAN FINNIGAN (& Doppel-Aedan):

Sterling Beaumon

I came across Sterling Beaumon (Lost, Mostly Ghostly) and thought he'd make a good Aedan Finnigan. I had a few other ideas too like Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley from the Harry Potter movies. Still, have you seen his latest movie pics? He's way less awkward looking now!) and Josh Hutcherson (Peeta in The Hunger Games). The hard part about casting Aedan is that he's supposed to be a redhead and there are not a ton of well known actors with red hair (or who could fake it). So, maybe even an unknown would work...

MELISSA DAY (& Doppel-Melissa):

Chloe Grace Mortez

Chloe Grace Mortez (Dark Shadows) seems like a possible choice for Melissa. Any other ideas?

DAN (& Doppel-Dan):

Taylor Lautner

Taylor Lautner (Twilight) seems like a good choice for Dan, since he sure can get his work out on as evidenced from his abs in Twilight.

OLIVIA (& Doppel-Olivia):

Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez (Wizards of Waverly Place) seems like a possibility for Olivia.

MATT (& Doppel-Matt):

Logan Lerman

Logan Lerman (Perks of Being a Wallflower) is a possibility for Matt. Matt could be even geekier, though. Logan is geeky hot.

SAMANTHA (& Doppel-Samantha):

Lucy Hale

Lucy Hale (Pretty Little Liars) is a possibility for Samantha. I just remember one of her early scenes in Pretty Little Liars where she makes out with the guy who turns out to be her teacher. She can be Samantha-esque I think.

TRACE (& Doppel-Trace):

Avan Jogia

Avan Jogia (Twisted) is a definite possibilty for Trace. Have you seen Twisted? He's great and he's pretty good looking too!

And that's most of the major characters! Lol. I'd never be able to get all of these actors into one movie. If I got one or two that would be great. I'm all for unknown actors, though! There might be a new and upcomming star among them who'd be a perfect fit for one of my characters!

Make sure to enter the GIVEAWAY below and while you're here leave a comment and let me know if you have any Doppelganger series movie cast ideas!

Haven't read Doppelganger 1 yet? That's okay! Here's what it's about:

Citrus Leahy is having a really bad day. First she's late to school. Then she runs into the girl who drives her nuts because she always calls her Orange instead of her name. To cap it all off, when Citrus finally makes it to class, she sees herself already inside. Wait. What? Citrus Leahy has a doppelganger! It's probably aliens taking over the world and her life has just turned totally upside down. Goodbye, normal. Hello, paranormal! Luckily, her crush Aedan has the exact same problem!

Now, it's time to share something more from the book. Here's another EXCERPT from Doppelganger 2: On the Run (available for pre-order on iTunes, Barnes and Noble, and Smashwords for only $0.99 cents and it will be available on Amazon.com on FRI and SAT when it releases for $0.99 cents as well!Afterward it will go up to its normal $2.99 price):

***EXCERPT***

"It's at the bottom of my neck, just below my shirt line," I said turning my head to look back at Finn.

I was surprised to find him right behind me. I felt my breath catch at meeting his eyes. Our faces were only inches apart. His eyes were so emerald green. I quickly turned my head back around hoping that nobody noticed that my cheeks were turning bright pink.

"Okay," Finn said a moment later. "I'm...starting."

A second later I felt Finn's hands moving the hair from the back of my neck before I could get a chance to do it. My breath caught. Then I felt the back of the neck of my shirt pull down as Finn looked for the telltale doppelganger bump. His fingers brushed my neck. I felt chills run up my spine and goosebumps that I hoped nobody noticed ran up my arms. I tried to stay as still as I could. Finn's fingers ran over the bump as if to check and make sure it was real. I didn't move. My stomach was doing summersaults. I hoped my crush wasn't obvious to the others. Please, oh please, oh please.

What Would You Do If You Ran Into Your Doppelganger? GIVEAWAY & Doppelganger 2: On The Run Release Week Continues!

Doppelganger 2: On the Run paperback cover!

Three days left until the release of Doppelganger 2: On the Run on Friday June 27th, 2014 and I'm getting super excited! Make sure to enter the GIVEAWAY below for a chance to win a FREE ebook copy of book #1 and book #2!

I've been thinking about book #1 quite a bit actually:

Doppelganger is available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Itunes & More!

And I wanted to pose a question: What would you do if you ran into your doppelganger?

Comment below! I'd love to hear what people would do!

This is what I would do if I ran into my doppelganger! It would probably look something like the pictures below! Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeird!

Okay, I have to say one thing first before I answer! When I was in college I actually almost ran into my doppelganger! It's true! My friends (yes, a few of them!) kept telling me that they thought they saw me around campus except I was nowhere near where they saw me at the time!!!!! Eeek! My doppelganger went to the same university as me!!!! Still, we never ran into each other. Well, at least we haven't run into each other yet!

So, what would I do if I came face to face with my doppelganger? Ummmmm....I'd probably freak out and wonder if my parents weren't telling me something! Or I'd run. Well, actually, I guess the logical part of me would start to take over and maybe I'd talk to the girl. Still, I'd be really freaked out. Nah. I'd run! Eeeeeeeek!

EXCERPT from DOPPELGANGER 2: ON THE RUN

My mind went back to Aedan, the doppelganger. He and Finn looked so alike. I had to shake that kiss off. It didn't mean anything. I'd never see Aedan again. That was a good thing. I had to believe that. He was with the doppelgangers after all and I never wanted to see them again. Still, it wasn't so easy to forget that kiss. I knew it had only been a day, but I could almost still feel his lips on mine. My stomach did flips at the thought. I squashed them. I just had to remember that he and Finn were not one and the same. Aedan was a doppelganger. He was not my crush. Not really. Finn was the guy I liked and as much as I hated to admit it, I barely knew Finn. Most importantly, Finn and I would never share a kiss. He had a girlfriend. Sure, he might never see her again, but that didn't matter at the moment.

I turned the radio up a little louder. It was a song by Lady Gaga and I liked it. I also needed to be distracted from my thoughts. I started singing along to the song in my head. There was no way I was going to sing out loud and embarrass myself in front of the others, but I needed something to make me stop thinking about Finn and Aedan and doppelgangers. The doppelgangers. My hands started shaking again. I tried to regain control. I could not think about them. Well, I couldn't not think about them either, but I could try to distract myself. It was better that I think about Aedan and Finn or better yet Lady Gaga and the song on the radio.

I stared ahead at the road. The song changed. I didn't know the song so I couldn't sing along. I forced myself to listen to the words as a distraction. It was a love song. I tried not to look back at Finn. I focused on the road. It was never ending. I looked at the clock. Two hours left driving. I could make it. The song changed to one I knew. I sang along to the song on the radio under my breath. Stay awake. Stay awake. Stay awake and don't think about doppelgangers.

That was when I saw the flashing red lights behind me. Adrenaline flooded my body. Suddenly being awake wasn't a problem.
